A label for the songs

Honest Crimes Records is up and running in Ruthin. It looks after the music of Cats and Crows, starting with This Time Will Pass Anyway on 20 November.

Honest Crimes Records is a small independent label based in Ruthin, North Wales. For now it does one job: it looks after the music of Cats and Crows.

Where the name comes from

Honest Crimes was the first Cats and Crows album, released in July 2016. Six songs, a dozen people playing on them, and the idea that has run through everything since: write from a place of honesty, and make it with real people. Ten years on, the label borrowed the title.

What comes first

The fourth Cats and Crows album, This Time Will Pass Anyway, is out on 20 November 2026. There will be a launch night at Nest in Ruthin, with support to be announced.

It has not been a quick record. The drums were recorded twice: the first takes were lost to a mixing error, so in November 2025 the kit went into the function room at Ruthin Football Club and the parts were played again.

Demos

We are not taking demos at the moment. When that changes, this site will say so. For press, radio, gigs or licensing, get in touch through the contact page.
